The Board of Directors of Select Federal Credit Union has named Tammie Zacharie as its new President/CEO effective Monday, July 15, 2019. Credit Union Resources conducted the executive search for the $50 million credit union.
Zacharie’s credit union experience and expertise in management will be a valuable asset to the executive team at Select FCU. Her passion for marketing, loan growth, and strategic development will help Select continue to provide exceptional service to its members.
Zacharie was previously the vice president at Select FCU where she was responsible for managing operations personnel, assisting the president/CEO, assisting the lending department, balancing & maintaining accounting records, and preparing audit reports for the supervisory committee.
Zacharie holds a master of business administration with a concentration in management and leadership from the Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Additionally, Zacharie holds a bachelor of business administration with a concentration in accounting and auditing from the University of Texas in San Antonio, Texas.
Zacharie holds several certifications. She is a Certified Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), a Certified Credit Union Internal Auditor (CCUIA), and a graduate of the Southwest CUNA Management School. Additionally, Zacharie serves as the Small Credit Union Committee representative for the Alamo Chapter of the Cornerstone League.
Zacharie is actively involved in the community. She serves on the Board for the Ella Austin Community Center and the Davis Scott YMCA. She has previously served as a volunteer at the Davis Scott YMCA, an instructor for Junior Achievement, a volunteer at Bowden Elementary School in the Reading Testing Program, and a member of the Education CLT Committee at Bowden Elementary School.
Zacharie succeeds former President-CEO Belinda Barrera- McDaniel, who has led the Credit Union’s growth and served in this community for the last 31 years.
